Artists Information...
Lime Light Radio is an independent online radio station that focuses specifically on unsigned bands and solo artists. Our goal is to shine the spotlight on talented musicians who don't have the acess to a large audience that "mainstream" artists enjoy. We feel strongly about this! That's why we decided to create a new way for you get your music heard. Our station is free.

WE DON'T CHARGE YOU FOR ANYTHING, ALL SERVICES ARE FREE! And when you give us your mp3s for radio play we expect not to pay anything to you, like royalties and any payment at all..

Why we are doing this...

We created LimeLight Radio because we're tired of listening to the same old thing. We think every artist deserves a chance to share the "limelight" regardless of status. We hope that our forum gives bands a chance to reach a bigger audience and lets music listeners find new bands and artists to enjoy. We do it because we love music and want to give bands and artists a new way to be in the industry.

The benefit to our listeners is awesome. Our goal is to create a broadcast for people that don't want to listen to the same thing on the radio over and over again. It's tough finding local artists' music outside of your area. Now you can hear what unsigned bands are doing all over the country, and you can listen from anywhere in the U.S. Discover new music on your own with LimeLight Radio.

How to Get Your Songs On The Radio?
Email us your songs for rotation at admin@limelightradio.com, make sure that you have the filename in this format: (artist name - title of song.mp3), please do that, I get alot of songs and sometimes it gets a little confusing!!!

I'll have to check this out.

What would really be good is if Lime Light Radio could get themselves signed up as a channel for one or both of the satellite radio stations. Radio exposure will still be limited for these guys unless they can get on the airwaves somehow.

Bufo, the terrestrial AND satallite radio pipelines are both completely in the hands of the mega-media corporates who don't want the competition. The FCC works hard to make sure that the bulk of all broadcasting capability is kept away from local and indie concerns. (That's not the way it is supposed to be, but it is the way that things are.)

The Internet is our only open avenue.
