Jeffrey Levy, a 22 year old MP3 Pirate who was illegally distributing MP3 files, movie clips and software, plead guilty and received 2 years probabtion with periodic urine tests as well as limited internet access. This case was the first of it's kind under the No Electronic Theft (NET) Act. The Act calls for far stiffer penalties than that of what Levy received, so he should consider himself somewhat lucky being as he was pirating some $70,000 worth of material on his site.
