Long live the scene... :)
I wish I knew the tracker(s) they polled this information from, would be easy to find out if HHI's version of pearl jam and system of a down are the ones being mentioned, or some other groups releases....
Of course, on another point.... This article has nothing whatsoever to do with this site, so why was it even posted?

Most of the "top 10" on limewire's list was RIAA crap.
(Oh well, at least we can take comfort in fact that the #1 thing was a silly computer role-playing-game.)
========
Folks, we gotta do BETTER and make sure that next year something from an independent artist cracks the "Top 10" at these p2p sites. |

Pirating on P2P is more trouble than its worth. Give me FTP and IRC any day! :-D Sure out of over 17,000+ people that have gotten "busted" is less than a percent of a percent of the over 65 Million p2p users online -- but still -- it's a lottery you don't want to win and as fate seems to indicate -- you've a better chance of winning an RIAA lawsuit than you have of winning that 300 Million Dollar Lottery Jackpot. lol |

Oh and as for my "Admission of Piracy" I do inevitably aquire the legit CD and that goes for movies also. Whats great is with me being broke -- theres no shortage of garadge sales and pawn shops and other (online and offline) resale shops available to get music and video for next to nothing. Hell -- even Wallgreens sells DVDs for as low as A BUCK A DVD! Now thats ass kickingly good! Once finances improve I also plan on subscribing to Netflix. I've heard only good things! But if anyone happened to have had any BAD experiences with those guys -- i'd like to know about that as well. |

Now,
compare the SALES figures for each of
those items on the list.
No surprise. all top moneymakers as well.
P2P really killed their sales. |

the filenames of porn get changed a bit, music videos, mp3s, and movies are easier to track.
paying attention to P2P is nesasary, many Indies use it to get their music promoted (if only their was a keyword to search for)
at least now I have suggestions for movies to rent..... |
