College Blocks Access To Popular MP3 Trading Softw
An Internet-based MP3 trading program has become so popular on one college campus that the school has blocked students' access to it, saying the program "unfairly monopolized" the school's connection to the Net. Northwestern University, in Evanston, Ill., blocked access to servers used by the Napster program Wednesday. In an e-mail sent to the school's 17,500 students, director of technology support services Thomas Board wrote, "Traffic to this one site represented between 20 and 30 percent of total university traffic to the Internet."...
