Metallica Gives Napster 332,293 More Names
Metallica may not be suing every person who has sent "counter notifications" contesting their blockage on Napster, but the band refuses to go away quietly. On Thursday of this week, Metallica lawyers sent Napster Inc. another batch of names that illegally are infringing on the groups copyrights. Metallica sent the 332,293 names, monitored over a one-week period, to Napster with no hyped media conference or press release.
A spokeswoman for Metallica's management company, Gayle Fine, has reported that Napster hasn't yet acted upon the new list of names. When asked if all the time, work, and effort put into the case has been effective, Ms. Fine said that since only 30,000 of the original 300,000+ people contested their banning on Napster, that they consider their percentile of 90% to be a success.

I am so fucking tired of this shit.
The only way to make them understand how stupid they are, is to make them disappear and show them that they are a piece of shit whithout fans. Once again, DO NOT BUY ANY METALLICA CD, DO NOT GO TO ANY METALLICA CONCERT, DO NOT BUY ANY SHIT THAT HAS TO DO WITH METALLICA, SHARE ALL THE MUSIC AND GIVE FREE OR SELL METALLICA CDS WITH MP3 OR MUSIC VIDEOS, DON'T DO ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH METALLICA UNLESS YOU GOT IT FOR FREE AND UNLESS NO PENNY IS HEADING TO THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS.

Metallica's right, if you aren't breaking the law you won't get in trouble with Napster. Quit being cheap and buy their CDs. If they're too expensive don't pirate them and don't buy them. You're all to chicken to shoplift a CD and use the excuses you use for mp3s so deal with it, put up or else shut the fuuuuck!!!! up!!!! |

I've listened to Metallica on and off for 12 years. If the band was more like they were when they started so many years ago they would be in support of Napster. I believe that they have been corrupted by money. Fuck them. They have enough money anyway. |

While 30,000 napsters disputed Napster's claims... that number doesn't include those who created new usernames. I'd be interested to know how many of those 300,000 are still off of napster. |

About a week ago I went to sign on to Napster, and a new version started to download automatically when I signed on. I thought cool new features and whatnot so i let it finish. When it was done it went to connect me and I got a message that I had been banned by metallica. My first thought was that this was a joke, but as I laughed I looked at the page and saw it was for real. Now there are two things I could do. Appeal my dam suspension, wait a week, and take the unlikely chance of getting sued, or make a new user name. Hmm...I wonder which I should do. Metallica is a bunch of money hungry bitches, they have enough already dammit. |

While Metallica is at it why dont they sue CD copiers MiniDiscs, all mp3 players, all programs that have to do with mp3s, all radio stations for playing the music people could just tape off the air, sue all tape players, and sue any company that has to do with anything that causes something to make sound, because that the battle there trying to fight here |

um... i tried making a new name on napster, i was still banned. it seems that they tweaked the registery. anybody know wher i can clean my registery up to get a new name unbanned? as far as metallica goes... Cliff Burton is rolling over in his grave as we speak. I think metallica should sing the song " sad but true" to them selves. |

First of all metallica should know better than try to fuck with the internet. If napster goes away there are a dozen other ways one can find to get their music for FREE. Neither Metallica, the government or any other asshole agency can stop what has been started. Learn how to deal with MP3's and move on. They are here to stay.. |
