Courtney Love Heading to the Net

Courtney Love, lead singer of Hole, is moving. Moving to the Internet that is. For a long time now Love has been saying that she is tired of the traditional music world and is ready to take her act to the Net. HoleMusic.com is the band's official site and has recently been updated with new music in MP3 format. Some songs even include vocals from the late Nirvana singer, Kurt Cobain. With over 50 MP3s on the site, Hole is embracing the new era of digital technology.

In a long fought battle with Geffen Records, Hole is trying to discontinue their recording contract. The group insists that it has already expired, while Geffen says Hole still owes them five more albums since their deal was extended in 1997. Back in January on the Howard Stern radio show, Courtney first proclaimed her dislike of the traditional music industry.

In my opinion, Courtney said it best with the following statement.

"Today I want to talk about piracy and music. What is piracy? Piracy is the act of stealing an artist's work without any intention of paying for it. I'm not talking about Napster-type software. I'm talking about major label recording contracts."

Rock on Courtney Love.

Geffen, give it up!!!! Let her go, thank god she wants out on the contract, there are some of us out here who would enjoy not hearing her crappy voice and band on the radio!!! No talent murdering slut!!!!! Maybe since she wants to put her music on the internet they can lock her up in jail where she belongs, for killing Kurt and a few others!! If she had never hooked her claws into Kurt in the beginning she wouldn't have been able to ride her bitch-mobil into the limelight. And if any of you really think Kurt Cobain committed suicide, then read the book, "Who killed Kurt Cobain?", written by an ex-detective on the case. Then if you still believe the old Hole Singer is still a wonderful person and has some sort of talent, listen to her, you sad fans!!! Hole, what a wonderful name for Courtney, fits her good!!!!!

Her article in Salon was the shit... I went to download the Hole mp3's with high hopes, bad the quality was shit - murky and swishy. Worse than just about any live mp3 I've heard! I just don't get what they're thinking, they seem very on the ball otherwise.
