Aimster, the Best of Napster and AOL
Even though they are two totally different applications, people all over the world use both America Online and Napster. The numbers prove it. Each company has millions of registered users. Now a new program called Aimster is being described as, "the first Napster-like file sharing integrated with AOL Instant Messaging."
With Aimster, users enjoy more security and privacy when downloading and sharing files. That is because Aimster has integrated with AOL Instant Messaging capabilities and search requests are taken directly from AOL Instant Messaging buddies. This allows users to know who they are uploading to or downloading from.
Just released this past Tuesday, over 4,000 people have already downloaded the soon to be very popular program. Aimster is currently only available for Windows 95/98/NT/2000 and is freeware.

Because of all the new users, the thing never connects... And it asks you a lot of questions that aren't clear. 'Do you want to change you're current list so it is compatible with Aimster?' What list? I didn't even know I had a list, and what is it changing in this list I supposedly have? Besdies all that, it never connects. Skins are cool though. If Napster 8 comes out with skins, that would rock.

I know; I'm sick of apps that try to take over your system, and then don't work like you'd hoped. Now we're left digging through our registry, trying to relinquish every trace that it ever existed on our unit. |
