Apple Introduces iTunes
News fresh from MacWorld - Apple Computer introduces iTunes, claiming to have created the worlds simplest and best Jukebox software exclusively available to Mac OS.
The new software, specifically designed to pull the most power out of the Macintosh hardware platform, calls on the power of the Apple's Power Mac G4's Velocity Engine to accelerate the encoding process of MP3's through iTunes.
The software also supports plug and play support for popular MP3 players available from Rio (SonicBlue) and Creative Labs, along with custom music CD creation when used with CDR/CDRW capable systems.
As with other Jukebox applications, the software will play MP3's, audio CD's along with packing in a ton of pre-programmed Internet radio stations.
The software is available to download for free from Apple.com.
