I was watching "Good Day Live" today and they had Jillian Barberie talking about how Madonna's website got hacked and they posted the files to the CD. Then Jillian talked about how Madonna had flooded the 'Net with the "What the Fuck" message.
She then mimmicked that and added the hackers response "This is what the fuck we're doing." but, of course, without the fuck, it being on national TV at 1pm where I'm at.
So if Madonna just happens to come across this site to see how we "pirates" (sarcasm added) are doing, then let me tell you this: I downloaded your fucking CD, you bitch! Yeah, that's right, that's what the fuck I was doing! Why else would I download your fucking songs?!?! |

I wrote Madonna "off" 10 years ago, but just because she made so much fuss over this, I decided to download and "share" here new album my friends.
The sad thing was, they didn't want it...Now I'm stuck with the lamest album I've ever heard. (thank god for [Recycle Bin])
These hollywood music bozo's need a lesson in Sales.

Since she herself and her label put these files up on p2p, de facto they should be considered free to use in any manner, so long as a profit is not made from it.

Madonna?!? After her laughable appearance in that stinker movie, I thought she took Geri Halliwell's place in the band as "Old Spice". She should be glad that anyone would even want to dowload that crap of hers. I forbid my kids to listen to her. And Madonna, all your crotch grabbing and humping on your dancing boys is way passe'. There are younger girls doing the same thing now without the middle age yeast problems you probably have. Although I may just have to download some stuff of yours, burn it, and see if I can sucker anyone into stealing them from my car. |

Can we sue madonna for fraud?
I mean she/her company admits that she released a file that says it's one thing, and it was another? Or possibly ... 'false advertising.' Wasn't there an artical about how the Record Industry views their songs as advertisements .... hmmm
So if the songs are advertisements, and Madonna posted a fake song, that's false advertisement.
Can we sue em' for false advertisment now?
Furthermore witch version of the song was actually copywritten under "American Life." Was it the WTF version, or the song we have on her CD?
If that's the case she should sue herself for copywrite infringment. Possibly using a trademarked name? Because she used a name of an existing song ... Or will it. Stella Award anyone?
I can see the false advertisment thing work.
The comment on how her company put up the files actually means that .... we have a loop hole gentlemen. Let's go off the defacto coment above ... so if the record company put them up they are commiting copywrite infringment, and wow it just might work.
So let's play a game ... if a record puts up a fake file, then the real file should autmatically be accepted as well.
There are "turkey" drug laws out there. If you try and sell drugs, say asprin, and say it's speed, acid, or whatever. You will receive the same penalty as if it were the real thing.
So if we take music, and put it in a "turkey drug" light the record company itself is violation of copy write.
I like it.
So the next question is this ... If the record industry puts up a bad file with loops, and it's ok, can I put up a file with a loop placed in it (begining, or end) keep the song good in between the 2 bad parts ... does that mean I'm violating copywrite?
Hmm aww screw it. Anybody know where I can get a list of all the artists these guys represent. It would be easier to just delete the stuff off my hd, and start downloading inide artists.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Anyone who thinks they can control the
Internet received an object lesson during the past week.
It all started when Madonna (news - web sites) literally lent her voice to a
popular antipiracy technique. Warner Music Group had audio files purporting to
be her new songs uploaded onto peer-to-peer file-sharing services. Anyone who
downloaded the decoys, however, heard nothing but the pop star swearing at
them. But since then, the pithy profanity has taken on a life of its own.
Some observers thought Madonna was smart to fight piracy with its own tools.
Others perceived a thrown gauntlet -- hackers soon defaced Madonna's Web site
with an equally profane retort along with several downloadable files of the
then-unreleased songs. The defacement also carried a marriage proposal to
Morgan Webb, an associate producer and on-air presenter at TechTV who had
nothing to do with the prank.
A third group saw a creative opportunity. "What the f--- do you think you're
doing," Madonna's now-infamous phrase, is turning up in dozens of remixes and
the computer-aided musical collages known as cutups or mashups.
Independent music community DMusic is now hosting a competition for the best
Madonna-based track, with the first prize being a "boycott-riaa (news - web
sites)" T-shirt and stickers.

"Madonna was trying to put one over on the kids ... and they in turn wanted to
let her know that she's not in as much control as she thinks she is," Webb
said, adding that "coke, anger and boredom" were also possible motivators.
Madonna's "American Life" was released Tuesday and is predicted to enter
Billboard's charts at No. 1, albeit with sales considerably lower than that for
her previous album "Music."

I was thrilled when Madonna pulled that WTF gaffe. I wasn't sure whether it was just a contrived marketing stunt, or an honest attempt the give pirates a piece of her mind, but regardless, it was immediately evident that we had a jewel of a sample here. What fun!
