The Offspring and Napster Reach Agreement

After slapping The Offspring with a cease-and-desist letter regarding the sale of Napster merchandise from their website, the two have come to an agreement that will allow The Offspring to continue selling the Napster gear.
Along with the ability to continue selling the goods that they were selling from their website, which is run by ArtistsDirect, The Offspring and Napster will be working together to offer a more complete line of Napster products. The Offspring will not be taking in the fruits of the sales but will instead be giving the money to a charity that is to be chosen by The Offspring frontman Dexter Holland and Napster creator Shawn Fanning.
Sure is nice to see a happy ending to a spout that was sure to end up making Napster look more like the bad guy in the end even though it was really The Offspring that made the offensive move here. Nonetheless, the outcome is one that will allow the good to be sold and the profits to benefit a charity - one that remains to be named but will undoubtedly be artisticly based.
