I think a rally in front of one of the big chain stores like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, or Target would work wonderfully. There would certainly be mroe attention drawn to them than some of the mom and pop stores--although they could work too.
But yes, a big rally/protest in front of one of those stores would work to spread the word. |

Target a Super Wal*mart with at least 28 friends.
Grab a cart and take all the RIAA label music off the shelves and place it the cart. (Target 50 cent, LL cool J, Trick Pony, Anthony Hamilton, Dr. Dre, Metalica, Brittney Spears, Christine Aguilera and any CD with DRM.) Wheel the cart the to back of the electronics area and hancuff yourself together with real handcuffs around the corner where you put the cart, preferably have the chain of of people and hancuffs end with something attached to the wall, (a pipe).
Two of the friends stand guard and have 10 others act as standby to replace anybody in the chain. The remaining four will preach to the shoppers about the evils of Riaa, hand out fliers, and grab any replacement Cd's that the stock boys put out and place in the surrounded cart. |

I have sent this idea to this website, but received no reply, so I'll try it again here to see how my idea is received.
I heard it said on some move, " the only court that matters is the court of public opinion", at least I think it goes something like that. Here's my idea:
Someone with the talent should make printable posters 8.5 x 11 in size that show the RIAA for who they are. Everyone can print these posters and post them all over the world for all to see, and be damn sure that someone mails the RIAA a copy of these posters.
Two poster ideas:
1. Have a picture of a little girl, say about twelve years old, maybe even holding a lolly pop on a wanted poster with the caption that reads, "The RIAA takes down another hardened criminal!"
2. Have a picture of a mansion , preferrably that belonges to a RIAA member, along side the picture of a common file trader's home, maybe like mine 1500 sq. ft. with a caption that reads, "In the face of financial ruin, the RIAA is forced to sue their customers."
Let me know what you think.

Great start bObjOe, except , lets find a picture of a real mansion and a common home that looks a little more lived in. I guess no two posters have to be the same. Everyone out there put something together and we'll have several to choose from.

Yes, bObjOe, I agree, excellent job. Now I have a couple other ideas. Make another poster with the same caption only this time have the first picture of an exotic sports car and the second of a Yugo or something like that.
Next idea:
Have a picture of a Pony Express rider and under it the caption, "If OUR government had given the Pony Express the same power that it has RECKLESSLY given the RIAA, we would still be receiving mail on horse back".
Please everyone get involved. Let's come up with more poster ideas and I'm sure bObjOe could use some help making these.

How about a cartoon pic of a pirate with an eyepatch (Black with RIAA spelled in blood red letters) and a parot perched on his shoulder (the parot's face is Lars Ulrich [Metaligreed]). The pirate is holding a cutlass with the letters DMCA on the blade. And is pressing the blade into two twelve years olds back who carrying laptop computers, forcing the filesharers to walk the plank.
The caption is: Meet the real pirates, the scurvy buckaneers of the RIAA! |

The t-shirt thing sounds great, but their is the cost factor. I have a friend that designs and sells shirts, and if I remember correctly, the print shop will not touch a job for less than a $400 order.

A few of the folks I know print there own. You will see some of my friends selling t-shirts to cars in the long lines getting into a concert. I've argued with them in private about the process, depending on who the artist was and what they stood for. And turned a few on to selling their wares outside local shops aimed at crunching other things. |

I hope that when I am succesful, you will notice that some concerts have less solicitation than others, for t-shirts. And you will see more private vendors near a blockbuster, ticketmaster outlet, or wal-mart in your area. |
